Coherent Structures in Incompressible Fluids

Abstract:

We will discuss various problems related to solutions to the incompressible Euler equation. Time permitting, we will discuss:

1. steady solutions to the Euler equation and their stability;
2. aspects of the long-time behavior of 2D Euler flows;
3. singularity formation in 3D Euler flows.
